Laboratory facilities
LPNS has three different chemistry labs equipped with fume hoods, different laboratory equipment and workstations. Two of the chemistry labs are primarily used for synthesis of different nanostructures and for sample preparation. In addition, 4-ball tribometer is located in a side room of one the chemistry labs. Thin films and coatings for electrical tunable transparent glasses are made in the third chemistry lab.
Electron microscopes and atomic force microscope are located in special built rooms in the basement of the Physicum to lower the noise due to vibration. In addition, LPNS has two workshops which are equipped with workstations to build and repair less complicated laboratory equipment.
